Appointment on 28 September 2025 for the 12th edition of the Granfondo Internazionale Alassio. The GS Alpi returns to Liguria for the grand finale of the season, right where it all began last February with the Granfondo Laigueglia. The bond between Liguria and the organising committee is getting stronger and stronger. This year, the organising committee has proposed a new granfondo, the San Lorenzo Cipressa, which has been so much appreciated by insiders and fans alike.
The Alassio race will take place over a single course of 90.6 km with 1790 metres of elevation gain. A great feature of the course is the start from the sea, but very little flat ground to negotiate: as soon as you leave the seafront, in fact, you will climb up the Ligurian mountains, with breathtaking scenery and roads set between the roads where the race will pass.
The last kilometres will all be uphill, as the grand finale is scheduled at the top of the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Guardia, an ascent that, as usual, will put all participants to the test. Once they have crossed the finish line, the cyclists will be able to descend to Alassio to enjoy the pasta party and the final prize-giving ceremony.
Card verification, delivery of race packs and new registrations will take place on Saturday (10:00/12:00 – 14:30/19:30) and Sunday (07:00/08:30) in Piazza Partigiani.
Until 30 August, it is possible to register at the subsidised rate of 50 euros. The participation fee includes: race packet, race bib, mechanical assistance, medical assistance, refreshments on the route, showers, pasta party, guarded closed park at the finish line.
